The quick read
Key points
- Confirm the selected portfolio and recipient.
- Choose full or read-only access for the task.
- Manage linked portfolio roles in Rentari.
Choose the portfolio first
Open the portfolio you intend to share and check its name and properties. Separate portfolios keep their own records and membership. Confirm the intended recipient and email address before beginning an invitation.
Use the membership that fits the task
For an independent RentariIQ portfolio, Access supports full or read-only membership. A read-only reviewer can inspect books and run reports without changing records. Give editing access only to collaborators whose work requires it.
Check how connected access is managed
Linked Rentari portfolios use team access and financial roles managed in Rentari. RentariIQ verifies those permissions when the books are opened. A local invitation or role change cannot grant someone access to linked Rentari books.
Review access as the work changes
Tell your reviewer which period and open questions need attention. Review membership when an engagement ends or responsibilities change. Remove access that is no longer needed and use account support if the expected portfolio is unavailable.
